The Leisure Seeker

Dah beberapa kali aku duk taip, pastu backspace..pastu taip la lagi. backspace lagi. kunun2 nak buat in English tapi idea intro tu takde. huh..

The Leisure Seeker ni sebuah buku dari Michael Zadoorian.

Just completed reading the book about a few weeks ago. actually this book belongs to Nana, and as for the title itself and also from the synopsis, i suggested nana to buy it from the most-of-the-books-are-half-price bookstore in Amcorp Mall.

Why? simple. coz Nana is a leisure seeker. loves to travel and experiencing life. that’s nana. hahaha…

So, belum sempat member tu abes baca, baru start mukadimah aku dah pinjam. lama gak la aku minjamnya sebab mengambil masa tuk aku gak membacanya. and at last! finished jugak.

well, it’s not a chic flick, it’s about an old couple trying to get away from their miserable old life by travel along the route 66 in US and spend their time together before the end of their life.

you won’t expect how the story ends.

well for me, it’s another good book dan tak rasa rugi baca eventhough aku tetap mengambil masa yang lama tuk habiskan. =p tapi, still worth for the money. =)

Tuesdays with Morrie

tuesdays-with-morrie

One of the must read books.

Been recommended by Cik Ema. Borrowed the book from Nana. It’s a very good book. Based on the true experience. Talks about life and death. Keep me wondering, how I want my life to be?

The synopsis from Wikipedia:

Newspaper columnist Mitch Albom recounts his time spent with his 78 year old sociology professor at Brandeis University, Morrie Schwartz, who was dying from Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Albom is a successful columnist to the Detroit Free Press after failing to become a pianist. After seeing Schwartz on Nightline, Albom visits Schwartz.

They arrange to meet on Tuesdays. The Detroit Newspaper Strike frees Albom from work and allows him frequent flights from his home in Detroit to Schwartz in Boston. The resulting book is based on Albom’s recount of Schwartz lectures, quotes, experiences, and conversations. It is visited by frequent flashbacks and allusions to contemporary events between each visit.

Still have 4 books and tons of E-books to read.. huhu..

The Time Traveler’s Wife

Finished reading this book a moment ago. Puas hati sebab aku menghayati. Sedih dan kasihan pada Clare dan Henry. Terdapat parts yang aku terlalu menghayati rasa sedih yang sampai terasa sebak sampai mengeluarkan air mata.

A month ago,aku checked best seller novels and no wonder buku ni top of the list. Siap dah ada movie dia. Tak sabar nak tengok bulan 10 nanti. Sape nak ikot?

Pada peminat buku, try this one. =)

Cekidaut:

The Movie and also the novel

Quotes from the book.

” I won’t ever leave you, even though you are always leaving me.”

“I love. I have loved. I will love”

Author: Audrey Niffenegger

Love in the Time of Cholera

51 years, 9 months and 4 days. That is how long I’ve loved you.

Cerita ni pertama kali aku tengok masa Redang trip hari tu. apa yang aku quote di atas tu la yang menyebabkan aku taknak berganjak dan terus menonton cerita ni.

mampukah seseorang mencintai insan lain selama itu? hurmm..

The Infidelity Chain

The Infidelity Chain – Tess Stimson

3_1

It’s not that i don’t like Malay novels but stakat novel2 Melayu yang aku bace, intipatinya and watak2nya almost identical. Maybe, kebetolan sume novel yang aku baca tu sama kot. Ye la, aku pon dah lama tak baca novel2 Melayu.

And sememangnya aku mmg dh lama tak baca buku ke, novel ke.Newspaper pon aku dah jarang2 baca. Bace newspaper online je.terok btol la. So, tergerak la satu hari ni tuk aku start balek habit membaca English novels aku tu. (Even though aku suka baca English novel, my English still terok+hampeh) Same goes to my Bahasa. still terabor walaupun hari2 aku cakap dalam bahasa melayu. So, people, do not think kita cakap that language hari2, we are good enuff. Learning is a continuous process. Kalo kita berenti belaja, ilmu kita akan stop sampai situ je.

Back to the topic, aku beli la satu buku crita ni.Tajuk – "The Infidelity Chain". Aku tatau pon maksod "infidelity" tu and i kept misspelled it.

Infidelity is a breach of faith and occurs in a number of religious and inter-personal contexts and can be defined as "any violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a relationship".

Infidelity is also called adultery, cheating or promiscuity.

Dari sipnosisnya  sinopsisnya, kinda interesting. So, aku pon beli buku tu.At first cam bosan je aku nk baca and truskan baca. After a while, it’s getting interesting. Tapi sampai aku tulis post ni, aku baru sampai 3rd quarter of the book. Kire ok la. Well, need to finish it up soon coz there are 2 books already waiting in the line.hahaha..tamak haloba.
